Job Title: Little 5 Points Social Media Coordinator

Job Description:

The Little 5 Points Business Association non-profit is seeking a highly creative and energetic individual to join our Main Street program as a Content Creator and Social Media Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging content that promotes local businesses in Little 5 Points, as well as helping to plan and promote events such as the 2023 Halloween Festival and our Summer Concert/Festival Series.

This is a great opportunity for college students or aspiring new media creators to build their marketing, graphic design, or advertising portfolio. This role allows you to put your skills to use in a real-world setting and gain valuable experience working with local businesses and promoting a community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Get to know local business owners in Little 5 Points and create video content that promotes their businesses on social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram

• Create engaging and creative content that highlights the unique offerings and community of Little 5 Points as a district

• Create "top things to do" lists and other content that highlights the unique offerings of Little 5 Points

• Help to update the Business Association website and keep it up-to-date with news and upcoming events

• Work at Little 5 Points festivals and assist with planning and promoting events

• Write news articles and press releases

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the Little 5 Points Business District, and experience hanging out therein

• Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software

• Experience creating social media videos and graphic design

• On camera and/or narration talent

• Interest in art, social media, technology, and people

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Up-to-date on internet trends, and can apply trends to L5P content

Pay: negotiable for 5-10 hours expected per week. Opportunity for raises.
